More details and behind-scenes-photos can be found here: http:luckyisle.comunicyclist-on-the-news Back in October of 2007, three months after I first arrived in Japan, I was interviewed by the local news station--Fukushima TV. The newslady was thoroughly impressed with my 36 unicycle, so after meeting up at a park we went over to Azuma Sports Park where there's a unicycle practice area for elementary school kids. Unfortunately it had rained quite a bit recently, so even though you can't tell from the video, the ground in the practice area was extremely slick. You couldn't really do proper turns or anything involving... having traction. Due to the lack of traction I fell a few times and really hurt my hip on one of them, and plenty of the kids also were falling onto the pavement. For obvious reasons, all of the falling was cut. In the end I rode around with a bunch of the Japanese elementary school kids and generally had a grand ol' time. Also, some people wanted to see the commercials, hence why I left those in.
